Dr. Weiwei Jiang received the B.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the Department of Electronic Engineering, Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 2013 and 2018, respectively. He is currently an assistant professor with the School of Information and Communication Engineering, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, and Key Laboratory of Universal Wireless Communications, Ministry of Education. His current research interests include artificial intelligence, machine learning, big data, wireless communication and edge computing. He has published more than 70 academic papers in IEEE Trans and other journals, with more than 5000 citations in Google Scholar. He is one of 2023, 2024 and 2025 Stanford's List of World's Top 2% Scientists.

He was also a Visiting Professor King Saud University (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) and Adjunct Professor at Multimedia University previously. He has an h-index of 107 and citation of 45,718 in Google Scholar and i-10 index of 521, his h-index in SCOPUS is 62, with 13,853 citations while his h-index in ISI/Clarivate is 49 with 9,393 citations. He has taught courses in Statistics, Operations Management, Research Methods, Forecasting and Computer Literacy at undergraduate level. He has supervised numerous PhD/MA/MBA students in the fields of Information Systems, Operations Management, Marketing Management and Organizational Behavior having graduated 91 PhD student, 18 DBA students and 9 Master students.
My professional interests focus on advancing artificial intelligence, with a specialization in computer vision and deep learning, applied to innovative domains such as manuscript studies, biometrics, agriculture, and industry. I am passionate about developing intelligent systems that simplify and enhance lives, leveraging computer vision and machine learning as key enablers of transformative solutions.
Alexandros Gazis received his diploma in Electronic and Computer Engineering (ECE) and his MSc in Microelectronics and Computer Systems from the Department of ECE, Democritus University of Thrace, Greece in 2016 and 2018 respectively.
Since 2018, he is a PhD candidate at the same university, in the field of computer science and a member of its “Operating Systems and Middleware for Pervasive Computing and Wireless Sensor Networks” research group.
He has taken part in research programs, both national and international. In particular:
- ALPINE (A low paper, intelligent, sensor network architecture for environmental management), a Greek General Secretariat of Research and Technology (GSRT) project.
- E-polis, a Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation (HFRI) funded project.
- Law Game, a Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme.
Moreover, he is a Teaching Assistant and a Lab Demonstrator, supervised by Assistant Professor Eleftheria Katsiri. Mr. Gazis is a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece and he works in the private sector, as a Software Engineer for PiraeusBank S.A., specialized in banking IT systems.
He publishes articles on Serious Games, digital game development, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, web data analytics, remote sensing, and neural networks.
His research focuses on Internet of Things, wireless sensor networks, serious game development, cloud computing, and middleware development for pervasive computing.
Dr. Tereza Raquel Merlo is a researcher, professor, practitioner, and consultant at Merlo Management Consulting. She holds two master’s degrees in information science with a specialization in Knowledge and Information Systems, and a Ph.D. in Organizational Management with a minor in Information Systems. Dr Merlo is Her research focuses on artificial intelligence, knowledge management, digital transformation, organizational intelligence, and leadership, with particular emphasis on AI-driven business strategies, process optimization, and the impact of artificial intelligence on organizational performance, strategy, operations, and society. She teaches Knowledge Management at the University of North Texas and serves on numerous master's and doctoral thesis and dissertation evaluation committees for students in the United States and internationally, from South America and Europe.
Dr. Merlo actively contributes to the international research community by serving on scientific committees for scholarly journals and as a chair, advisory board member, and conference leader. She was invited to serve on the Scientific Committee for the Glossary of Innovation, Organizational Knowledge, and Scientific and Technological Information, an initiative of the Brazilian Institute of Information in Science and Technology (IBICT), and Data for Good Brazil: Governance and Collaboration for Social Impact, among others.
Dr. Merlo completed her postdoctoral research at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) through a program affiliated with the Brazilian Institute of Information in Science and Technology (IBICT). Her research examined the synergies between artificial intelligence and knowledge management, exploring their potential applications for high-tech enterprises.
Dr. Merlo has authored and edited several books, by IGI-Global, World Scientific, Springer, and Taylor&Francis, serving as Editor Chief of the book series: Artificial Intelligence in Organizations: Transformative Technologies, Applications, and Impacts(World Scientific).
And Principles and Foundations of Green Intelligence (Routledge Taylor& Francis). With extensive experience working with Fortune 100 companies, Dr. Merlo has led projects in deal and project management, cloud computing, data analytics, business intelligence, and sales strategy.
For the upcoming International Conference of Knowledge Management titled: The Next Horizon: Integrating AI, Knowledge, Innovation and Talent for Sustainable Global Development, where she is scheduled to speak at the Roundtable: Data to Decisions: Agentic AI, Knowledge Management, and the Future of Intelligent Organizations and discuss issues related to data center expansions, Agentic AI, and successful project management strategies.
