Mostafa Zandieh is a Full Professor at Industrial Management and Information Technology Department, Shahid Beheshti University, Tehran, Iran. His research interests are Supply Chain Management, Production and Operations Management, Production Planning and Inventory Control, Scheduling, Quality Engineering, Applied Operations Research, Queueing Theory, Simulation, Soft Computing, and Artificial Intelligence Techniques in the areas of manufacturing systems design. He has published 5 books and more than 200 peer-reviewed papers in journal such as Annals of Operations Research, Computers and Operations Research, RAIRO Operations Research, Computers and Industrial Engineering, International Journal of Production Research, International Journal of Production Economic, Journal of Cleaner Production, International Journal of Systems Science: Operations & Logistics, International Journal of Logistics Management, Socio-Economic Planning Sciences, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, Reliability Engineering and System Safety, Expert Systems with Applications, Applied Soft Computing, Soft Computing. He is the recipient of the 2009, 2011, 2012, 2014, 2019 and 2023 Distinguished Researcher Awards at the Shahid Beheshti University, Tehran, Iran. He has been selected as the National Iranian Distinguished Researcher in 2011 by the MSRT (Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology) in Iran. He is also among the Top 1% Highly Cited researchers based on the 2015-2021 reports of Thomson Reuters. He currently serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Industrial Management Perspective and is on the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Supply and Operations Management (IJSOM), the Journal of Systems Thinking in Practice, and the Journal of Industrial Management Studies.
