Style Guide for authors of the Journal of Engineering Management and Soft Computing (JEMSC)

In view of reaching faster and easier processing of your papers, please pay attention to the recommendations that follow:


You have to enter the webpage, register your name, and receive a username and password, all posted to your email address. You have to take the steps indicated therein, i.e., type of paper/ contribution, 

indicating the title, and so forth.

Articles must take maximally twenty A4 pages, arranged in 23 lines on each page.

1.  Research articles must contain five sections, i.e., introduction, literature review, methodology, findings and discussion, conclusions, and references. The introduction must contain a statement of the problem, aim, and significance of the study. The literature review must include the literature, theoretical background, hypotheses, and/or research questions.
The Methodology section must contain research methodology, population, sample(s), sampling techniques, data collection methods, and methods of data analysis. Sections concerned with findings, discussion, and conclusions must follow the above sections. Finally, a bibliography and/or reference list must be appended. The manuscript should not exceed 15,000 words, including the abstract, references, tables, and figure captions. Please format your manuscript in a single-column layout using our journal template.

2. Review articles must contain four sections, i.e., introduction, main body of the article, conclusions, and references.


3. For referencing, contributors must follow the APA model. For direct quotations, it is necessary to indicate the precise page number(s).

 

Required files to upload: Authors must submit the following two essential files through the manuscript submission system: 1. Main Manuscript File (without the author details and prepared based on the provided template. 2. Title Page, (must include the article title, full names of all authors, and be signed by all authors).

 

Declarations:

All authors must complete a comprehensive "Declarations" section (covering author contributions, COI, data availability, funding, and acknowledgments) at the end of their manuscript. If any item is not relevant, please explicitly mark it as "Not applicable." See full example here:

  1. Declarations Author Contributions: A.B. and C.D. conceived and designed the study. A.B. performed the experiments and collected the data. C.D. analyzed the data and interpreted the results. E.F. drafted the manuscript and revised it critically for important intellectual content. All authors reviewed and approved the final version of the manuscript.
  2. Conflict of Interest: The authors declare no competing interests.
  3. Data Availability: The datasets generated and/or analyzed during the current study are available from the corresponding author upon reasonable request.
  4. Funding: This research received no specific grant from any funding agency in the public, commercial, or not-for-profit sectors. Acknowledgments: The authors thank Dr. M. Gholami for his valuable technical assistance during the laboratory work.
